The Net began aLMOST 15 years ago when a group of youth leaders from varying Churches and denominations caught a fresh vision for The Kingdom of God in The Black Country. We could not articulate this particularly well at the time, but something began to emerge within us that we knew was of God, and we just wanted to position ourselves to receive more and more of this revelation, and to JOURNEY TOGETHER..... Instead of working as separate bodies doing their own things all the time, they simply wanted to be part of something on a wider scale, whilst also maintaining their own identity and character. The Net began as an organizer, a planner, an information centre, an advertiser, and a central resource to all of the churches and Christian organizations in the area WHO WANTED TO JOIN IN whenever required. It also began, and continues to arrange and coordinate larger events (FROM TIME TO TIME, OFTEN IN SEASONS)and youth-worker training days, as well as encouraging pastoral networks for Youth Leaders, Church Leaders, Business people,Children's Workers (etc) and young people and 'mission concepts' for smaller localities. ---please remove---The Watchmen All Night Prayer meetings, The Net's largest but by no means most important initiative, began in 2000, inspiring many in the area to cry out to God to move in this age in the heart of our communities. However, not wishing to become something to be served or to be promoted in itself, The Net was and is simply there to serve the Kingdom of God in the Black Country, and will hopefully become a working model for many areas across our Nation. It also seeks to inspire VISION into the area, from within and without.
