Project Manager
NewStarts is a Christian organisation which works to:
o Relieve poverty by providing household goods and food to vulnerable families and individuals;
o Reduce the risk of homelessness by assisting people with resettlement;
o Protect and preserve the environment by ensuring the re-use of unwanted household goods;
o Provide volunteering and work placement opportunities for people, particularly those who are long-term unemployed and ex-offenders.
The Project Manager will have a passion for the type of work NewStarts is engaged in. S/he will be able to develop the Christian purpose of NewStarts in consultation with board members, staff and volunteers in the context of the objects of the charity. S/he will have proven knowledge, understanding and experience of business management and project development and will be required to oversee the marketing, promotion, delivery, cost effectiveness and quality of our work.
The Project Manager must be able to demonstrate self-motivation and initiative in developing the work and will be an effective team builder and developer of people, creative and imaginative in style, and able to pick up ideas and develop them. S/he will have compassion and be able to practically help those who are in need.
There is a genuine occupational requirement for the post-holder to be a Christian.
The salary will be £26,916 for a 37.5 hour week. There is a company contributing pension scheme and a holiday entitlement of 25 days plus 8 days public and bank holidays.
