Opportunity to live in community
The Hawbush Project is a Christian charity that works on the deprived housing estate of Hawbush in Brierley Hill. We aim to access the lives of local people through a range of practical activities and alongside this aim to see a Christian community established on the estate which brings people into the kingdom of God.
In 2008, the project purchased a house on the estate that has two rooms for people to rent which helps to ensure the project is financially viable. At the moment one of these rooms is available so we are calling out to the people of the Black Country to see if there is anyone who feels God is calling them to be involved.
We are looking for a tenant to live in the house who is female and aged between 18 and 35, so if you know anybody within your congregation who has a heart to live out local mission or simply is a believer who currently needs somewhere live that costs very little and is a really fun atmosphere please get in touch.
There is no expectation for anyone moving in to be overly involved in the project at the expense of any existing things they do within any other congregations, but I am sure any believer would benefit from living in an expression of Christian community in an area such as Hawbush.
If you know anyone who is interested please call Simon Ashby on 07736 273512.
