Embracing the Poor – a different approach to those in need – an interactive evening exploring how we can better engage with our communities
Andy Matheson, who is International Director of Oasis, is coming to speak on his excellent book ‘In His Image’. Although Andy draws on his 20 years plus working with street children in India, and Oasis work in other countries, his premise is to explore and encourage us to engage with those in need and in our community, by recognising God’s image in people.
This is a must for anyone who wants to understand better how to make a difference with people we interact with in our community – experienced or not!
Andy is speaking in The Ballroom at The Talbot Hotel in Stourbridge on 18th February 7.45pm – 9.30pm - so the event will be informal – buy a drink at the bar and sit and relax and listen/interact. In addition, The Manager of The Talbot is also giving 15% off food before the event if people want to come early and make an evening of it – if they bring a free entry ticket (see below). It may be wise to book first!
