One Hope has toured very successfully over this last 6 months in partnership with UCB and has primarily been sponsored by churches throughout the UK. It has been extremely well received and one teacher thought it was “a thoroughly entertaining and thought-provoking piece of theatre, superbly performed and presented.”
However, out of the 105 schools we have visited, none of them have been in the Black Country region! Because we are passionate about our local area we decided to adapt the original One Hope production with a Christmas emphasis. We want to offer this as a specific initiative to the churches in the Black Country.
One Hope tells the story of God from creation right through to the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus. With the Christmas version the birth of Jesus will have a more prominent emphasis.
Play Synopsis:
Christmas is supposed to be the season of Joy on Earth- but Max is anything BUT joyful. He’s had a really bad day and now on top of everything he has to put the rubbish out – the worst job ever!
But might his day begin to get better?
Hiding in the bins are Bar and Cal, two very unusual-looking angels, desperate to tell him why Christmas is such a great time of year.
Join Max as Bar and Cal introduce him to the Book of Hope and take him on a whirlwind tour of the Bible showing him how Christmas fits into the whole story.
This is a fast-paced innovative show, full of interaction, suitable for children from reception to Year 6 that explores the true meaning of Christmas.
This production will be available to tour from 5th December – 16th December 2011. One Hope costs £270 per half day. Travel costs are negotiable.
We would like to invite churches in the Black Country to sponsor the production and offer it to primary schools in their community to attend. This could be your Christmas outreach event!
