TRAID Textile Recycling

TRAID recycles and reuses clothes and the profit TRAID makes funds projects around the work to tackle poverty and injustice.  If you are interested at hosting a textile bank at your church, see traid.org.uk. • National Ethical Investment Week 16-22 October 2011 It is now widely accepted that as consumers we can influence retailers and producers through our purchasing: similarly we can influence our bankers and pension providers through ethical investment. Ethical Investment Week promotes the green and ethical options in the finance and investment decisions of individuals and pension fund managers. Download the 12 page Action Guide for Churches from ECCR http://www.eccr.org.uk/Article250.html and http://neiw.org/church-guide. Or obtain a printed copy from Helen Boothroyd (07503 931172).
  • Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, 18-25 January 2012 CTBI resources are now available to help you start planning for Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2012 – normally observed 18-25 January. The theme for 2012 is ‘We will all be changed’. Change is at the heart of our Christian faith and also of the ecumenical movement. Material for this exciting but challenging vision comes to us from the churches in Poland, who have been changed and transformed by the many upheavals of their history. This year the printed booklet offers a refreshing and thoughtful ecumenical act of worship, along with study resources for the Eight Days. A more traditional liturgy is also available, as an alternative. Download the resources and get details of how to order the printed pamphlets and the posters at www.ctbi.org.uk/weekofprayer

Best Wishes
