Sandwell Global Day of Prayer Review
A BIG thank you to all of you that attended Sandwell Global Day of Prayer 4!It was an amazing night with over 400 people in attendance, representing over 23 different congregations across Sandwell – amazing! It was our biggest yet. There was a great team involved that helped me put the night together and who led through some of the sessions.
A big thank you to Iain Hesketh – West Brom Community Church, Neil Robbie – West Brom Holy Trinity C of E, Nicola, James and the young people from Open Heaven Church in Wednesbury, Tim Coleman and band for leading us in worship as well as the amazing choir from New Testament Church of God.
Our theme for the night was Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
We gathered peopleinto their congregations to pray, then into towns, and then into the sectors that they work/attend i.e education, health retail etc..A very powerful image showing where The church is 5 days a week, being salt and light!We also celebrated 400 years of the King James Bible and thanked God for those that gave their lives to see the Bible translated into English. We also prayed into the world and into countries where Bibles were not so easily obtained.
We took up an offering on the night to help cover the cost (hire of venue) and to hopefully give some money into buying bibles for those countries where bibles are not accessible. We raised £565.27!This enables us to give over £100 into mission!Thank you all for your generosity!

OUTBREAK is the Explosive Saturday night event that is taking the west midlands by storm. Our young people are the next generation and we want to see them on fire for God and experiencing the most exciting life that they could ever imagine. In each young person there is so much untapped potential inside and we want to see them reaching it and using the gifts and talents that God has placed in each of them. OUTBREAK is about showing and introducing young people to a life full of passion, expectancy, excitement and relationship with an awesome God at the centre of it all.
The 16th July will be featuring the ‘Positive band’ from New Life Christian Centre in Derby
