It is with great pleasure that we have been able to secure a date for Shane to come and share his heart with the Black Country. After reading his book Irresistible Revolution I was so challenged and impacted by his message – God’s heart for those on the margins and the challenge to us – the Church. This guy is one of my heroes – I cannot recommend him enough! Please come and here his message; I guarantee it will be different! Posters to follow!

Shane is a Christian activist who challenges our Western (often materialistic) mindset that more is better, bigger is brighter and new is best. His writing is provocative, creative and spiritual, pretty much like the way he lives out his life. Part of The Simple Way, a new monastic community in Philadelphia, USA, Shane lives among the urban poor and sees the Kingdom of God very much as a grassroots revolution, rather than an institution. We’ve also got The Rend Collective with us, an experimental music band with a Christian flavour.
Perhaps you’ve been challenged about new shapes of church or these sorts of themes lately? Or maybe you’ve always been passionate about those on the margins, then this might be for you!
