We meet in St Peter’s gardens

We meet in St Peter’s gardens at around 10:15 am, to welcome the Holy Spirit in prayer, before we invite passers-by and shoppers to come from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. What’s been amazing are the conversations with, and reactions from people we talk to.

One woman with a pushchair wept when she saw the ‘Prayer’ banner and a Christian said that he lives in London and joyfully proclaimed that he had never seen anything like this in his life! At the moment, the work is a lot about handing out invitation postcards to people and as you can imagine, there is a wide variety of response, from indifference to glad acceptance and a joy that the churches in Wolverhampton are seen to be working together, for their benefit, in the city centre.

As for the team members, there is a growing sense of love and fellowship. One of the team members, Alan, was healed a month ago from debilitating back pains and he can now function normally – praise God!

Anyone who has an interest in the street prayer ministry is welcome to come along and see for themselves and perhaps hand out a few invitations to prayer. Please pray for us as we are about half-way towards building a great team of twenty ‘core’ and ‘support’ workers, though we do specially need more ladies!

Please share this bulletin with members of your congregation, if you are able.
