Wolverhampton NET leaders’ prayer lunch

Our next leaders’ prayer lunch is Tuesday 12th July, 12.30pm at Holy Trinity Church, Bushbury Road, WV10 0LY. We look forward to another wonderful time together and hope you can make it. Please note that there will be no meeting in August. The following prayer lunch will be Tuesday 13th September at Asian Christian Fellowship, in the Darlington Street Methodist Church building at 12.30pm.

Visit of Patrick Sookhdeo

Dr Patrick Sookhdeo will be visiting Wolverhampton on Saturday 3rd July and speaking at a special meeting on the subject of ‘The challenge of Islam to the church and society’. The meeting will he held at St Jude’s Church, from 2.00 to 5.00pm. This will be an outstanding opportunity to hear from one of the foremost authorities on the subject. There is no doubting the increased profile of Islam in our nation and the heightened tensions that exist between Islamist aspirations and mainstream society. Literature will also be available at the meeting.

‘Awake 11’ youth weekend

A significant number of Wolverhampton churches are organising a special Youth Weekend of social action and ministry in the city, 11-13 August. Information is available from All Nations Church and flyers will soon be available including from our next leaders’ prayer lunch on 12th July. If your youth are not involved in this event it is not too late and we encourage you to get on board for a special time for our city. For more information, telephone the All Nations office on (01902) 714469.

Cheers
