Dear Black Country Church,
We trust that you and your's are well..................and we hope that you're enjoying the summer and The World Cup. Maybe England can win it at last, though we feel it may be difficult as there are no Black Country players this time! What do you mean, "This time!!". I hear that Wayne Rooney's cousin's friend's gran's neighbour-in-law used to live in Tipton! And he almost signed for Wolves under Mark McGhee....TRUE.
The Prophetic Conference
Anyway, what a great few weeks we have had here in the region. The Prophetic Conference was a real MARKER for many of us. Hearing such inspirational teaching and precise use of the gift of prophecy was truly eye-opening for many people, and beginning the process of "TOGETHER FOR THE BLACK COUNTRY" joint meetings was a watershed too.... more of these to come.....
GENERATIONAL WEEKENDS
There is a genuine MOMENTUM developing, and a sense of higher expectation seems to brewing in the air. We also had a great weekend away last week with over 60 younger leaders which was significant as part of Martin Scott's prophetic word to THE BLACK COUNTRY CHURCH was specifically targetting the rising generation. We plan to develop these GENERATIONAL WEEKENDS as there is something strategic and releasing spending quality time away as a generation in this manner...more to come....
So, if you are a young leader, a youth leader/worker, a kid's leader/worker, a student worker, a GenXer or worker (18-40 approx), part of the 020 age-band, or if you have a massive heart towards this generation, you are very welcome to come along---JUST WATCH THESE SPACES FOR FUTURE DATES (next one will be in Nov/Dec '06).
Reinhard Bonnke - 12th August
Tickets for the evening with Reinhard Bonnke continue to go, but please note that this evening will be opened up to the whole country at the end of the month, so we URGE YOU to book your tickets NOW....either by accessing our web-site, or calling CFAN on the number there..........I honestly thought that our region could pack The Bethel with such an incredible opportunity given to us, but we are not currently rising to the challenge and I am sure it's down to the usual limited communication channels...so please understand that you can get your tickets now before they go elsewhere.
Next Regional Marker
We will be hosting a Leadership Conference on 19/20th September with Gerald Coates, Stuart Bell and Roy Crowne (Youth For Christ UK Leader) which we believe will be another important time for us corporately. Details are below, and flyers are now available, AND PLEASE NOTE BELOW WHAT WE ARE AIMING AT IN TERMS OF "LEADERSHIP".

If you have borrowed any of the WATCHMEN VIDEOS from the nights we used to do at The Bethel, PLEASE can you return these asap as they are the only chronicles we have of this momentous season in our history, and we are now seeking to put together a CD linking some of the WORDS God has given us over the last 10 years or so following on from the recent PROPHETIC CONFERENCE.

WHAT IS A CHRISTIAN LEADER? Are you involved in leading a local church, a leadership team, a church department or do you lead a different expression of Christ in the community? Do you hold a position of authority in local government, health, education, social services, justice, media or the arts?? You are very welcome to join us as we seek to widen our understanding of how together we can reach the 1.2 million people of the Black Country with the wonderful news that Jesus loves them and has a plan for their lives.
ALL of us in some kind of leadership play an essential role in this mission.
We meet every two months for a morning, and there are "specials" planned in the future too, eg, the Leadership Conference below....a great opportunity to CONNECT IN.

ASIAN CONFERENCE

The Voice Asia which is a radio station based in West Bromwich broadcasting via satellite to India and Pakistan is sponsoring the day.
Last month we received over 23000 responses to the radio programmes. Many are getting healed and saved through the radio ministry.BUT we have a problem!!
WE CANNOT COPE WITH THE RESPONSE
We are on target to receive over 250 000 responses this year !
We desperately need Prayer Partners.
We desperately need volunteer helpers. An exciting initiative will be launched at the Conference. Anyone with internet access can get involved. We have developed a computer programme which will make it possible to become pen pals with those responding to the gospel in India and Pakistan.This programme will help us to know how many new people we reach every month, how many lives have been changed and how many are growing in their love for Jesus.We will be announcing how you can get involved on the 24th June .
It really is harvest time in Asia and we need labourers to help us reap the harvest.
The conference will be followed by a sit down Indian Buffet ( the best Indian this side of Bombay ! )
