Dearest Black Countryites,Spring Greetings! Yes, it finally feels like we're approaching semi-warmer weather once more. March has left us like a lamb, and we can now look forward to 30 days of showers, not unlike the whole of last summer!
I realize that Easter has just been and gone, but here are a few belated thoughts for you to ponder over as you eat your faggots and peas this evening.
Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His resurrection?
Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His resurrection?
The Gospel of John (20:7) tells us that the napkin, which was placed over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the grave clothes.
The Bible takes an entire verse to tell us that the napkin was neatly folded and was placed at the head of that stony coffin.
"Early that morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance.
She ran and found Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved.
She said, 'They have taken the Lord's body out of the tomb, and I don't know where
they have put him!
Peter and the other disciple ran to the tomb to see. The other Disciple outran Peter
and got there first. He stooped and looked in and saw the linen cloth lying there, but he
didn't go in. Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside. He also noticed the linen wrappings lying there, while the cloth that had covered Jesus' head was folded up and lying to the side".
Is that important? Absolutely! Is it really significant? Yes! In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day.The folded napkin had to do with the Master and Servant, and every Jewish boy knew this tradition. When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure that it was exactly the way the master wanted it. The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just out of sight, until the master had finished eating, and the servant would not dare touch that table until the master was finished.
Now if the master was done eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers and mouth with that napkin and toss it on to the table. The servant would then know to clear the table,for in those days, the wadded napkin meant, 'I'm done.' But if the master got up from the table and folded his napkin, and laid it be side his plate, the servant knew that the folded napkin meant, 'I'm not finished yet.'
The folded napkin meant, 'I'm coming back!'So, there you go Black Countryites; we await His return, and we hope and pray that He will be pleased with how we have managed what He has entrusted to us, both individually, and TOGETHER.
Have a think on these things, and please see loads of news/items below, and please see web-site for other updates and news.
Love to all,
Tim

TRUMPET CALL VII
Dear Black Country,
It is good to be able to be in touch again as we begin to plan ahead for Trumpet Call VII.
Trumpet Call on 21st June will be the seventh stage of an amazing journey that God is leading us on based on Numbers 10:9 “When you go into battle in your own land against an enemy who is oppressing you, sound a blast on the trumpets. Then you will be remembered by the Lord your God and rescued from your enemies”. From blowing a trumpet to lift the oppression and awaken the sleeping giant in the nation, to releasing the message of grace, praying for the church to arise, launching Redeeming our Communities, then launching the year of prayer for Hope08 and praying for the release of the Gospel and the vision of WPC, God continues to lead us.
As you will have seen from the brochures (available from many sources, including The Net office-Ed), we are looking for the largest prayer journey on the longest day to give a massive prayer push in the middle of Hope08. Leaders from the rest of this family of nations will be welcomed as we formally launch the new Prayer Forum website (Prayer Forum of British Isles and Ireland).
We would be blessed and honoured to have you standing with us on the day as we seek God’s heart for our nation and ask for His kingdom to come and for His will to be done.
We look forward to standing with you for our nations.
Yours in Christ Jesus

Black Country Prophetic School
Hi Everyone,
For some time we have sensed the need to develop a teaching/ workshop environment that facilitates the development of the Prophetic Gift in our believer communities across our region. Working with Martin Scott and Chris Meredith we have developed an initial program running monthly on Saturdays starting in April. If you sense either you or someone with whom you are connected may be interested please read on or pass the email on those who may be interested. You can register for the program by emailing admin@thenet.org.uk

Prophetic School
Developing a Company of Prophetic People for the Black Country...
Do you feel that God has given you a prophetic gifting to develop? Do others see you as carrying a prophetic gift? If so, then you'll want to know about the forthcoming prophetic training schools coming to the Black Country.
For some time, we have been grateful to God for releasing the prophetic to accompany us here on our journey in the Black Country as church. This accompaniment is mainly manifest in Martin Scott, who God has called to walk alongside us.
Martin is one of the foremost prophets in the UK today, as well as being called to significant ministry in Brazil, Sweden and the USA. Along with us he feels that the Black Country is one the key places in the UK where God is doing something new and pouring out his Spirit in a time of preparation.
Some years ago, Martin was inspired to see a prophetic voice raised in this land. When he met Chris Meredith, a young post-graduate with a clear prophetic calling upon his life, God revealed that here was someone who could carry the inspiration forward in our nation and together they began to develop COPP, a Company of Prophetic People.
COPP for the Black Country is an initiative led by Chris Meredith, which aims to establish a prophetic round table, people from within Black Country church who can grow to mark time, measure the season, declare the tempo of the moment - as we journey together. Regional companies will eventually become a much wider resource speaking into our nation.
"At its core the prophetic is about re-imagining tomorrow, about catalysing spiritual and material change, about releasing destiny to the lives, spheres and landscapes of which we find ourselves a part. These days are about feeding, or even beginning, journeys which develop us towards doing just that." - Chris Meredith, COPP
Sound exciting? Read on...
The first step in developing this company, is to run a prophetic school - right here in the Black Country. The school is essentially an environment for the practical training of those who are inexperienced but who carry prophetic anointing – as well as a place for the development of existing gifts. There will be strong elements of biblical teaching, theological discussion and a safe space in which prophetic ministry can both be given and received. In essence, it is a chance to begin to journey together in discovering what it means to pursue the voice of God.
Phil Collins and Jessica Turner to run the London Marathon.
Not the Phil Collins of Genesis fame, but THE Phil Collins of CEO, Saltmine fame...
SHOCK: UNICEF have recently reported that out of 21 European Union member states, the UK is BOTTOM in child welfare...
ACTION: Support Phil and Jessica in the London Marathon in response to this report
Their aims:
Phil and Jessica aim to to raise money for the 'Hope Play’.
The 'Hope Play' will go into as many primary schools in the Black Country as possible. The more money raised, the more schools that can be reached with this important message of Hope.
The 'Hope Play’ takes the story of Joseph and propels it into the 21st century. Joseph struggled with family pressure, cultural clashes and rejection but managed to hold onto the dream that God had given him.
This production communicates to children that they can be themselves, have freedom in God and aspire to change their world.
.The money raised will go towards funding:
1) Getting the production into 200 schools in the Black Country and being seen by up to 30,000 children
2) Producing and distributing follow up material so that local church workers are able to continue the message of the production in schools
3) The three Saltmine Theatre Companies that will rehearse and perform the production
4) The team of writers who are producing the script for the production
.WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW ?
To pledge money to Phil or Jessica please email your name, address, contact telephone number and the amount you want to give to philc@saltmine.org or jessicat@saltmine.org

Christians In Property
Hello all,
Well, this is my second preliminary message to you, AND THOSE WHO YOU KNOW who either own property, or know those who do......whether commercial, BUY-TO-LET or even holiday homes abroad.........
....................................................whichever, who MIGHT be interested in NETworking for various reasons...ie;
SHORT TERM....
--to share ideas....eg, how to find/keep/advertize together for GOOD tenants;
--insurance/mortgages/solicitors/accountants/etc (get better deals if not alone);
--share best practise/good ideas/experience;
--maybe share a common C-I-P website if we can sort ssomething out;
--motivational concepts/ways of developing entrepreneurial ideas and processes;
--TOGETHER we're stronger....LONGER TERM....
--continue in all of the above....and maybe....;
--help the poor to find quality/affordable homes;
--offer local councils a list of reliable, quality and ethical landlords, and maybe a glimpse of what God is like!
--help the poor to find ways of taking themselves and family on affordable/quality holidays;
--offer assistance to excellent Christian Social Enterprise groups/organizations, eg, GREEN PASTURES;
--can you think of a few more things here guys????If you're interested in a no hassle, no obligation association or network of people who can make a difference in practical ways to real people, please let me know in confidence......maybe we could arrange a time to all meet up in the Spring....who knows?? I will follow up as soon as possible to see where this might lead us......am convinced that it is The Lord who gives us the ability to create wealth or resource, and property is a large part of this in modern times, so maybe He has some ideas for us to think about in terms of how we USE this wealth for His purposes as well as ours, and how we enable each other to maximize each-others' potential.
There is so much we could do TOGETHER if we want to make a difference in our world.
Yours together,.
Tim Fellows.
ps......please let me have contact details of those you know who might be interested to be involved...I have deliberately hidden e-mail addresses so as to protect data, so please respect this and assume that I don't know who you might be thinking about at this stage, no matter how large or small their property experience may be.

q Good and bad beliefs about prophecy
q Protocols and Pitfalls in ministering prophetically

90 Days of Blessing
Here in the UK, many churches and groups are involved with Hope08 and the million hours of kindness which individuals, churches and organisations are giving to the nation in this season, links well into this part of the GDOP vision.Bible marathon - read the bible in 90 days!
God has given a brother from the Middle East a clear vision/instruction to issue a call to Christians around the world to read the Bible cover-to-cover in 90 Days. This vision was an answer to GDOP South Africa’s prayers for something to bring deeper impact in the 90 Days of Blessing (12th May – 10th August) and something that will enable every individual to participate. God reveals Himself through His written Word (Luke 24:27). Therefore, a better understanding of who God is, His character and what His will and purpose are for us and the peoples of the world, we need to prayerfully read and study the Word of God. The vision is 100,000 people to read the whole bible in 90 days in 2008, 10 million people in 2009 and 1 billion people in 2010! Many nations have already signed up to be a part – Egypt, India, Indonesia. If you want to commit to the bible marathon, you can register and find info and tools - www.globaldayofprayer.com. You can also join an initiative in Egypt that will commence on 1 October 2008 - www.bible-marathon.com.Resources: www.globaldayofprayer.co.uk
